I've done a lot of growing over the past four years. Freshman year was a little devastating, as far as boys and roommates are concerned. I had fifteen roommates before it was done, and one boy, who was important. But, I was still young, and learning about myself. I recognized around that time, that I did or did not do most things out of fear. I'm glad to discover, tonight, that I have been making progress.

I've composed a list of the things that I no longer fear:
I'm not afraid of...
(1) sharing my art-- in a professional setting.
(2) dancing
(3) unofficial group sports (ie soccer, basketball)
(4) intramural sports
(5) small talk (in some cases)
(6) visiting teaching
(7) having my own room
(8) talking on the phone
(9) going on dates
(10) being nice to boys
(11) being honest
(12) talking to people in class
(13) catching a frisbee
(14) asking for help

But I picked up a few justifiable fears on the way:
(1) bouillon cubes
(2) store bought lasagna
(3) going blind in a foreign country
(4) cockroaches
(5) live fish in my face
(6) Fred Bigler

...God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling; not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel...

The image is a poster I made for the library I work for. I think its sweet. I'm sharing it with you...

The boy roommate sounds a little suspicious. Although I know what really was going on.
