In my early college years, I recalled pouring over the colorful illustrations of a specific children's book as a little kid. It wasn't the story that impressed me. I barely remembered anything thematic, but a grandpa and an attic. I don't remember dialog from childhood, but, I do remember moments, and wonder. This was wonder. My parents found the book I'd described to them, and presented it to me as a Christmas gift, my sophomore year of college: Song and Dance Man, Illustrated by Stephen Gammell.
