On the walk home from school, there's a stretch of sidewalk marked by trees whose branches "need" trimming. The branches hang low, making it difficult to walk the sidewalk without ducking. I walked home behind a boy the other day, who walked as near to the road as one can get, until he approached the overhanging trees, where he turned sharply into the leaves and let them brush against his face as he walked straight through them. I thought it was super funny. Out of curiosity, I tried it myself. I'm surprised at how enjoyable it was...like dragging your feet through piles of dried leaves in the gutter, or jumping out of a tree you've climbed. I climbed a couple trees yesterday. I only made it to the lowest branches, and thought I'd never get down. Always climb with someone super tall, who you trust will catch you, before letting you land on your face.
