This is it Buddy Boys.
ROBOT DREAMS by Sara Varon is the best thing that ever hit the shelves of my university library. I hadn't heard of it. I just picked it up by chance, as I was planning a lesson for fifth graders on comic illustrations. It is quality literature-- if you can call it that. Its been since, Tale of Desperaux (which is coming out on film in December by the way) that I've found a book I couldn't set down. An incredible metaphor for the little things that get us up and down, that may not stick around, but we can remember with a smile, anyway.
I'll think I'll buy it for myself for Christmas.
"Without words, Sara Varon’s simple, moving, and instantly endearing artwork tells us all a story of friendship, loneliness, and forgiveness." -firstsecondbooks.com
