Tonight we had apartment prayer. The most beautifully worded prayer I've heard since...the last couple beautifully worded prayers I've heard:
"AND please bless us with friends who are wiling to...do their part, so that--we don't have to do it for them..."
I'd say it was one of the most honest prayers I've heard, right up there with:
"Please bless that--boys will want to dance with us..."
AND:
"Please bless those of us who are here, well-- you can bless the others, but bless those of us who are here more than them..."
All of these instances were only nearly as charming as saying prayer over Christmas break with little Reub around, muttering blessings over the top of whoever was formally praying.

When Reuben's grandparent were tending him overnight they read scriptures and knelt to pray as usual. Reuben was given a scripture to repeat and then when his grandfather started to pray Reuben began praying aloud so grandpa stopped and let Reuben complete the family prayer. It was beautiful to have a three year old example of pure faith.
I do what I can.
Who was saying all those beautifully worded prayers? I think I could learn a thing or two.
