"I forgot your name, but I know this. You're the art teacher."

"Ms. Reasor."

"Ms. Reasor, I have something to show you."

He lifted up his t-shirt to reveal a smiley face drawn on his belly with a permanent marker.

"What did you do that for?"

"Cause, my mom has one."

I smiled and shook my head. He showed the other recess ladies, they laughed to themselves.

"Teacher, some kid keeps lifting his shirt and showing kids his belly."

"I see, I'll keep an eye on him."

"I made my way across the playground, where a small group of children gathered round Garrett."

"Garrett, I think you'd better keep your belly a secret."
