A brief synopsis

I went to EFY once as a kid and was so petrified of real people and big hair that I honestly don't recall making a single friend. It was a big deal to send me across the country to see other Mormon kids. Naturally, I was a little disappointed that I didn't actually talk to anyone. At least, my mother will recount, "She came home and started helping with the dishes."

I've packed the things I know I need to keep. Everything left is on the chopping block. Do I throw it or keep it? My journals are safely tucked away in a box in a garage in West Jordan. So, having reread the entire edition I am currently working on, I turned to an old email Inbox that has been accumulating junk mail for the past two years. I found an organizational file titled "Mary".

Curious. I opened the file, selected an email, and this is what it said:

Dear Jordee
Guess what! I did something that is totally crazy, for me. I tried out
for the Play that my high school is putting on. Oh, man! It freaked me out so
bad. But I got called back. I don't know if I am in it or not yet but it was
you that planted that seed for me to get into the drama stuff. I just wanted
to thank you and even if I don't make it at least I can say I didn't squander
any opportunities. I'm trying my best, so that when I leave high school I
won't have any regrets. Thanks for one less "I wish I would have"
Mary

I guess I must have talked to someone--maybe even made a friend.

Sometimes, I wish the only things I remember were not always the brief synopsis I've stored to account for the experiences that I've had.

Your experiences are a large part of of your growth. You may not remember ever event but who you have become is a sum of your experience. Judging by who you are becoming I believe you have had great growth experiences. Your Wonderful, Great, Talented, Lovely, I could go on and on. I have found that when needed, the Spirit will bring all things to your memory.
