Baby Names

I was the type of little girl who made lists of potential girl and boy baby names. The names I included on the list were never very popular. I made up half of them.

My sister just named her baby boy Reasor. That's her maiden name. It's mine too. I mean, it would be mine if I were married. It's unusual for a first name, but it sounds OK. It's a family name, and one that's dying out.

My grandpa had one son. His name was Michael. His son had no sons, and so, our line of Reasor dies with me on my wedding day (Assuming my little sister marries first). And then there is the random Reasor I met on Facebook. She doesn't really work into all of this.

So, what's the point? While everyone in Utah names their children something bogus, I think I'll skip out. There is one name I really like. It's plain and simple. But it's a name I know I can trust.

You thought I would reveal it? You'll have to wait ten years to hear. I don't want my sisters to steal it.

Reasor's great great grandfather was named Ensign, that was his mother's maiden name. Reasor's great great uncle was named Parker, that was his mother's maiden name. I love the name Reasor.

I always wanted to name a kid something with an ampersand in it. Then I thought, why not name them Ampersand? Then I thought "&g" because I like they way ampersands and lower case gs look--and it's pronounced And-G.
