Sometimes I place an inordinate amount of sentimental value in inanimate objects. Point in case: (Did I use that right? Don't worry I will when I'm in law school) I once owned an article of clothing lent to me by a boy who was once very important to me. The article represented my connection to him. When the boy moved on with his life and was engaged to be married, I had to ask an unsuspecting acquaintance to deliver it to the DI box for me.
I think I picked up this silly habit back in my dramatic high school days, after seeing the movie Emma, hoping that love was holding onto a peace of cotton a boy had mindlessly wound around his fingers while observing someone paint a portrait of me, who he must have found quite lovely.
I think I have found love to be everything I had not expected it to be. That isn't to say, I have found love. Because I haven't, but when I do, I hope it will not be impractical or fantastic.
