me·di·o·cre (mē'dē-ō'kər) adj. Moderate to inferior in quality; ordinary.

"I really think its an opportunity for us as educators to embrace hip hop culture and celebrate it with our students. What are your thoughts?"

A minute of unsuspecting silence.

"I think hip hop gives black people an excuse to be mediocre."

Her reply dumbfounded the hall. A few of our jaws dropped...permanently...for the evening. After a five minute lapse of inability to proceed-- One thing came to mind. "Faith Ringgold, nationally renowned, African American, fine artist, Hip Hop, Mediocrity...YeeAH!"

So, what are my thoughts on Obama's recent declaration of June as National Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month?

I think celebrating a minority for their being a minority rather than for their overcoming all odds to really make a difference in the world gives all of us an excuse to be mediocre. And mediocrity, isn't worth celebrating.

What are my thoughts on Obama?

Same old. Same old. Long before he was ever elected, he said on teenage pregnancies, "I don't want them to be stuck with the consequences of their decisions." And he really growled it. I don't have time to go into why this rubs me the wrong way. Let me just say in the least tasteful way-- Anyone with a face could get elected on the platform he presented: Come one, come all. Let's be lazy and unaccomplished together. Let's make life easy and learn nothing. Celebrate mediocrity with me. There's nothing else worth living for.

He almost fooled me.

Conclusion: Obama continues to give hard working, accomplished Americans a bad name. Then again, so does Disney. (That's another story).

Not having to suffer the consequences of our own choices was the platform Lucifer was running on. That is what started the War in Heaven. God won that election.

Just think about the kind of leadership we are dealing with now.
