Just thinking with pictures

You get a lot of rap for choosing not to draw realistically. There are those who assume you choose something else because you can't. In reality you choose something else only because you can. You can't succeed in something else unless you have succeeded in realism. Realism is the heart of Abstraction--the soul. An image lacking a beginning in real life is empty. Someday my cartooning will be justified.





Doug Fryer came and saved whatever I'd started out with.

Do what you want. No one will really appreciate it either way--so you might as well enjoy yourself.
